Printed Apple
About the exhibit
The apple was printed by Stratasys, an Israeli-American company that develops, manufactures and markets 3D printers.
The piece demonstrates a 3D printing technology called PolyJet that allows the use of a variety of different materials in the same print.
Eight print heads containing different materials were used to print the apple, demonstrating the ability to achieve a high-resolution product with a realistic and convincing appearance and texture.
