Pixelated Urns

About the exhibit

A work by Guy Levkov – two digitally printed ceramic urns.

The urns were inspired by amphorae, which are ancient pottery vessels designed to store and transport mainly wine and oil.

The piece reflects one of the challenges of the digital production process, where the enlargement of an object can affect the resolution- so the scale is of great importance.

The piece consists of two urns whose ratio is 1:2, which is evident in the large pixels.
