The Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem was established through the generosity of the Bloomfield family in Canada, a Zionist family that contributes liberally to Israeli causes and the people of Israel.
After being approached by Teddy Kollek, the mayor of Jerusalem at the time, Neri Bloomfield decided to fund the important mission of establishing a science museum in Jerusalem in memory of her late husband, Bernard Bloomfield.
Neri Bloomfield actively supported the museum until the day she died. Her children, Harry Bloomfield and his family and Evelyn Bloomfield Schachter and her family, continue to support the museum and accompany its ongoing activities and development.
