Math is all around us. It accompanies and challenges us throughout our school years, meets us every time we try to frantically calculate the discount at the grocery store, and it’s essential when we send telescopes into space. Many of us hate math as much as we admire it.
“Taking into Account” is a traveling exhibition that features chosen exhibits from the MEET MATH exhibition. Through the introduction of novel concepts, the history and ideas of prominent mathematicians and a playful approach to the subject, “Taking into Account” strives to show math as it can be – an expansive, lively world full of imagination and surprises.
From the Seven Bridges of Königsberg problem to the Tower of Hanoi puzzle, “Taking into Account” features 13 interactive exhibits, riddles, challenges, problems and proofs adapted to every visitor’s individual math level and age.
